You Got a Friend in Me!

When you read that line, you probably think of the movie Toy Story and its two famous friends, Buzz Lightyear and Woody. This Sunday, we’ll be looking at another wonderful friendship--that of Jonathan and David in 1 Samuel 20. As the drama between David and Saul unfolds, that friendship will be challenged--but God’s guidance is just what they need to endure. Read ahead!

Here are some Hope Happenings you’ll want to make note of:

    • This Sunday (tomorrow!) is the last day to turn in a survey. If you haven’t completed your survey, please do so. If you’d like one sent to you electronically, please email me
    •
    • This Wednesday, from 6–8 p.m. is Family Night! Please sign up in the Atrium. Dinner will be followed by a wonderful program for the kids. The adults will be hearing about the overall themes of the surveys collected. (Remember, only the Elders will know who wrote what.)
    •
    • November 24, from 6–7:30 p.m., is our Thanksgiving Eve Service. Come for a Family Dinner, a time of sharing, worship, and Communion. Start your Thanksgiving off right!
    •
    • December 8, from noon–2 p.m., is our Midday Christmas Luncheon. Come for lunch, some Christmas trivia, and a sing-along! Sign up in the Atrium.

Need a smile? David is a former The Voice contestant. He loves to sing and so does his daughter, Claire. Listen to them sing one of Claire’s favorite songs here.

    See you tomorrow,
